Day of International Human Rights

On this International Human Rights Day, I want to echo the UN’s message that human rights are an everyday essential that impact us on a daily basis.

Human rights are lived realities–the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the words we speak, the opportunities we pursue, the protections that keep us safe.

Let’s bring forward a Canada without division, discrimination, or disenfranchisement, where our legislation promotes, protects, and defends human rights.
